The book’s form allows for a multi-flipping experience, with the book’s timeline featured in the bottom, and Kramer’s speech featured above. Readers have the choice to flip through the two texts one at a time, or match the corresponding pages with visual signals as they go.

The poignant color scheme, image treatment, and typeface choice were all informed by screen printing and protest posters created at the time. The book’s large size aims to give weight and significance of the tragedy, visualizing the immense feelings of hopelessness and frustration in the lack of government action.
