ABOUT Romer is a collection of locally-conscious hotels, shaped by the characters and culture that make them unique. For my internship with Highgate Hotels, I worked on projects for multiple of the Romer properties. For Romer House Waikīkī, I edited a video sizzle, as well as web loops to be integrated into the hotel’s website. For Romer Hell’s Kitchen, I photographed an event hosted by Hydroflask and Ella Emhoff for Plastic Free July.

855-ALOHA A menu of local food and eclectic cocktails, I used a three-panel structure to create an upbeat, graphic feel and showcase all the delicious offerings.

THE LEI STANDThe hotel’s cocktail bar and lounge, The Lei Stand is a celebration of Hawaii's beauty and traditions. Leaning into a retro feel, I integrating videos shot on a digital camera into the more staged footage, showcasing the lively nightlife energy of the bar.

BACKYARD POOL & BARA tropical outdoor lounge oasis serving all-day bites and drinks, Backyard Pool & Bar is the perfect retreat. I aimed to capture the peaceful, relaxed vibe by using longer clips with more natural cuts.

ELLA EMHOFF x HYDROFLASK For Plastic Free July, Ella Emhoff partnered with Hydroflask to lead a crochet workshop, where participants turned old T-shirts into recycled yarn, crocheting water bottle holders. I photographed the event, held in Romer Hell’s Kitchen’s cozy fireplace study.
